Secretary Gates positions Defensive forces in advance of possible launch of N.Korean missile

Secretary Gates has stated during a press conference that he has ordered defensive forces to prepare for a possible launch of a North Korean missile toward Hawaii.  This comes just weeks after the North repudiated the truce that ended the Korean War.

This is in addition to having a ship suspected of carrying nuclear material and armaments which is being shadowed by the U.S. Navy–at least until the ship clears Chinese waters.  Then our government will have to decide whether or not to seize and board the ship (which the North days will be an act of war against them) since the U.N. resolution in its typical cowardly fashion requires S. Korean and American troops to have permission from the N. Korean governemt to board!

The last few weeks have seen nuclear tests as well as missile tests in North Korea.
