I first heard of these reckless comments by Barack Obama on Sean Hannity yesterday, but the Conservative Edge puts the matter in stark terms today. The Obama campaign has begun race baiting in such a way as to almost guarantee violence between some radical Obama supporters, and anyone who thwarts them.
First, earlier in the week the Obama campaign released a Spanish language add using quotes from Rush Limbaugh which were taken so out of context that they had actually been made about different subjects and one was taken from a parody of the MEXICAN government’s attitude toward immigration. Then they linked John McCain to Rush Limbaugh’s (incorrectly stated) immigration opinions.
Now, if anyone has ever listened to Rush Limbaugh and John McCain on the subject of immigration, they could hardly be farther apart. John McCain’s position on “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” (or amnesty for persons who illegally entered the U.S.) is diametrically opposed to Limbaugh’s. And Limbaugh’s is nothing like what was on that advertisement. Then there is the question of whom the advertisement was urging to vote for Obama, and whether it is legal for them to vote at all…. but that is a separate subject.
After attempting by dishonest means to get the Hispanic community up in arms, he then encouraged his supporters to “get in the face” of McCain supporters! Excuse me? Get in the face of people who have different opinions than yourself and confronting them in the threatening manner will be the start of many conflicts both verbal and physical. Hannity then quoted Obama as saying, “If they bring a knife, we’ll bring a gun.” I’m sorry but that is just nuts. If a conservative had said such a thing can you imagine the outcry?
Still others of Obama’s supporters opine that if Obama loses it will be because of racism, and it was possible that there would be race riots. These people find it impossible to believe that anyone might legitimately abhor the policies Obama espouses. Obama is a socialist, Saul Alinsky type of radical. His “community organizing” was inspired by Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals.” This is the book which is so adored by leftists (and the subject of Hilary Clinton’s Thesis at Wellesley) in which Saul Alinsky extols Lucifer (the Devil) as “the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did so so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom.” (That would be Hell, a note to those who want their countries to be run by community organizers.) Now that is Alinsky comparring his community organizers to the Devil, not me. It gives you a pretty good idea of the mindset of this guy.
Ann Coulter approaches Alinsky and Obama with humor in her OBAMA: LUCIFER IS MY HOMEBOY.
What is not in the least humorous is that racial animus is being stoked, and it is being stoked by the people on the left. I concur in the opinion of Conservative Edge. All you bitter folks out there clinging to your guns and religion… keep clinging. The way things are going, you might end up needing one or the other in order to defend yourself.
