Sixty-seven years ago, Japanese bombers destroyed much of our Pacific Fleet and killed over 2 thousand U.S. Navy servicemembers in a couple of hours. The Japanese did this without having declared war, much to the fury of the American government and public.
This attack brought the United States into the Second World War as America declared war on both Japan and Germany. Hostilities did not cease until after two atomic bombs were dropped on Japan and an unconditional surrender was signed aboard the U.S.S. Missouri.
In Remembrance of all those who have fallen in defense of this country.
